M23 accuses FARDC of attacking its positions, appeals to international community Premium

A spokesperson for the M23 rebel movement, Benjamin Mbonimpa, has accused forces aligned with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) government of continuing to launch attacks against M23 positions in several areas of eastern Congo. In a statement, Mbonimpa said fighting and attacks had been reported around Point Zéro, Minembwe, Kalehe, Rutshuru and Masisi.
