Name change notice: Ishimwe Magezi Joshua to Magezi-Reed Ishimwe Joshua

The Rwanda Ministry of Local Government has approved a request to change the name of Ishimwe Magezi Joshua to Magezi-Reed Ishimwe Joshua in the national birth records.

According to the official notice issued  on August 14, 2026, the name change was requested because the new surname is the applicant’s spouse’s name.
