FERWAFA boss Fabrice Shema Ngoga arrested
FERWAFA President Fabrice Shema Ngoga has been arrested by Rwanda Investigation Bureau over allegations of issuing a cheque without sufficient funds, as investigations continue.
The Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) has confirmed the detention of Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) President Fabrice Shema Ngoga over allegations of issuing a bounced cheque.
RIB spokesperson Dr Thierry Murangira confirmed Shema’s arrest on Tuesday, August 11.
“RIB has arrested Fabrice Shema on charges of issuing a bounced cheque. He is detained at the RIB Kicukiro Station while investigations continue into other offences he is accused of,” Murangira said.
Shema’s arrest comes amid reports that the FERWAFA president had been questioned by investigators.
Authorities have not yet disclosed details of the other offences being investigated.
